The idea of starting an online platform for Bible study began to take shape in Rev. Dr. Achankunju Pappy’s (Pastor Pappy) mind in 2015, after numerous years of Christian mission work.  Following two years of preliminary preparations, ScriptureSource.com was started in 2017.  Pastor Pappy has a background in teaching, preaching, and training mission workers.  He was ordained in the year 2000 at Visakhapatnam by Late Rev. Dr. P.J. Titus (the Founder and President of Christ For India [CFI], New Testament Church of India, COTR Theological Seminary, Nava Jeevan Public School, New Life Children’s Home, Jyothi Hospital, and Nava Jeevan Christian Junior College).

Pastor Pappy was born and raised in a Christian family.  After Pre-Degree studies in Kerala, Pastor Pappy enrolled and earned a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with specialization in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, from St. John’s College, Dadar, Bombay, in 1983. Following this, he worked in the secular field for over five years. In December 1987, God very specifically intervened in his life, and he recognized the call of God in his life to carry out God’s ministry near and far. As a result, Pastor Pappy obeyed God’s commands and dedicated his life for Christian ministry. As part of the preparation for ministry, he underwent thorough ministry training. Pastor Pappy first pursued a Bachelor of Theology degree at India Christian Bible College in Cochin, Kerala (1992), and obtained a Master of Divinity degree from COTR Theological Seminary in Visakhapatnam (1994). Later in time, as the need of higher education arose, he pursued postgraduate studies and earned a Master of Theology degree in Missiology from SAIACS, Bangalore (1998), and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary, KY (2011).

In the early years, along with his studies, he was involved in a Church Planting Ministry at Thrissur (Kerala) for about two years with Christian Assembly (1990-1992) under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John Philipose, the Founder and President of India Christian Bible College, Cochin, India. As he was serving as a church planter in Kerala, he realized that God is calling him for cross-cultural ministry and moved to North India and served with the Full Gospel Church of God (FGC / Founder & President Rev. Mathew Oommen) as the principal in-charge of the Full Gospel Bible Institute (the theological training wing of FGC), and was involved in local church ministry for over five years (1994-1999) in New Delhi and the surrounding regions under the leadership of pastor P.K. Samkutty (General Secretary of FGC). He also served as Part-time Faculty member at Eastern Theological Institute, Noida, UP (1998-1999). Upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he began to become more and more involved in teaching, training, and preaching ministry. He served as a Faculty member, Director for Outreach Ministries, and Registrar at COTR Theological Seminary, Visakhapatnam (1999-2003); Faculty member and Registrar at Beersheba Theological Seminary, Pathankot, Punjab (2003-05); Principal of Mission India Theological Seminary, Nagpur (2011-2014). Pastor Pappy is currently serving (since 2015) in the pastoral team at India Christian Assembly, Ontario, California, under the spiritual leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Valson Abraham. God has been faithful to Pastor Pappy and used him extensively, beyond social, political, religious, and cultural boundaries, to witness his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to many people across India, South Korea (Seoul), and the United States. Pastor Pappy is married to Carolyn and they are blessed with a son named Rufus. They are serving the Lord together as a family.

Pastor Pappy has fully dedicated his life for preparing and training passionate young men and women for Christian ministry (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:2; 4:2). His main areas of teachings are focused on Missions and Evangelism, Biblical and Religious Studies, Pastoral Care & Counseling, and so on.
