There are numerous Bible-related books written during the Old Testament or Intertestamental period (the period between the Old Testament and New Testament) and these books are known as Apocrypha (ἀπόκρυφος, meaning hidden). Among a vast collection of Apocryphal books, the below mentioned books are the most common. Although, none of these books are included in the canon of the Protestant Bible, seven of them (noted with double asterisk marks [**]) are included in the Canon of the Roman Catholic Bible.
